I enjoyed working with Alia as she has been nice and helpful to work with. I have found I
have understood science better in general and in more detail. It has been a great help

Lamaat Year 10 English. End of year exam Level 8 Language and Level 8 Literature.
Theo Year 6 Maths got 105 in his maths SATS scaled score. So we’re very happy with that. And is
‘working at’ expected level, which he wasn’t last year I think. So he is definitely improving in
confidence, and I feel has a much more solid understanding of the basics now. Plus the boost in his
times tables knowledge – he was ducking and diving out of getting on top of those as he finds them
difficult, but he has certainly improved.
So thank you very much Mrs Akbar!
We will of course continue to work on all aspects and continue to work on it all, but we’re happy

summer holidays began, I decided to get in touch with The Progress Tuition Centre as I’ve heard
good reviews about the teacher! My 10 year old daughter is currently preparing for her 11+ exams
this year and needed some guidance and support in order to achieve her full potential. So far, she
has enjoyed her online English and Maths lessons with Mrs Akbar and found it extremely friendly,

Hi Mrs Akbar, here is our comment: our boys have been going to the tuition centre for some time
now. They enjoyed the classes and benefited immensely from the support received. The teachers
are supportive and kind, and the atmosphere in the centre is very calm. Due to the lockdown all
classes became online. Mrs Akbar quickly adapted to the new circumstances and set up online
classes for small groups of children with similar academic level. The classes work extremely well, our
boys enjoy them and the support they receive. Plus, the classes gave the boys a sense of routine and
interaction with a teacher. So overall, the change albeit dictated by unfortunate circumstances was
very positive and we feel that our boys have benefited tremendously.

“We only began Mrs Akbar’s tutorials during lockdown and so we cannot compare them with her
personal tuition. However, the online tutorials are well organised and work very well and, of course,
there is the added benefit of being able to learn from your own kitchen table…we can highly

In my years at the tuition centre, I have improved on many things such
as reading extracts and identifying nouns, verbs, pronouns, etc. When it comes
to you, I am lost for words. All I can say is thank you, thank you a lot. You have
helped me with this for 3 years, maybe even more!
Even though preferably I would have liked seeing you face to face, online
learning hasn’t been so terrible after all. I have still succeeded to doing tests
and achieving better results within the papers.
Some of the things we have gone through together are essays/creative writing,
passages/papers, nouns, verbs, pronouns,
adverbs, etc and mock tests. Throughout these we have excelled in getting
more marks, and whizzing through harder and harder papers every single
lesson.
You are a lovely person and tutor and I am very happy to have you as a
